Delivering Technolojoy with FTTH to Dene Tha' First Nation
TLC Solutions is thrilled to unveil the remarkable journey of our partnership with the community of Dene Tha’ First Nation spanning the last two seasons. Our mission? Bringing Fibre To The Homes (FTTH) to the vibrant communities of Meander River and Bushe River, nestled near the picturesque town of High Level, Alberta.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the warm and welcoming to everyone at Dene Tha’ First Nation (DTFN) and N’deh Limited Partnership (NDEH). The unwavering support for this project has been nothing short of inspiring, and we feel deeply honored to have been part of this remarkable journey.
But the magic doesn’t stop there! As part of our unwavering commitment to creating enduring value, The FTTH project proudly employed over 60 exceptionally talented local band members to lead the way in the fiber optic installation. What’s more, we provided them with top-notch training, empowering them to become the guardians of this new era of the Fibre Optic network. Also, this FTTH entire asset belong to the Dene Tha’ First Nation. That’s right. It’s 100% owned by the nation. This stands as a shining example of our steadfast dedication to Capacity Building within the community.
Overcoming Unprecedented Challenges: Delivering FTTH to Northern Alberta Amidst COVID-19 and Fire Season
Navigating the complexities of procuring and transporting equipment and materials from far south to the Northern Alberta amid the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic was no small feat. Plus, we had to tackle the hurdles of fire season, with everyone working tirelessly through extremely low air quality conditions. But, thanks to the indomitable spirit of our incredible NDEH team, the unwavering dedication of our community members, and the rock-solid support of our cherished industry partner, Networld Cable, we managed to conquer these challenges and the tough environment. The result? An exceptional project delivery to Dene Tha’ First Nation that’s poised to shine for the next 100-plus years.
We couldn’t be prouder of the progress we’ve achieved together, and our hearts are brimming with excitement as we look ahead to the brighter future that awaits these communities, thanks to the transformative power of FTTH.
